The Sunday morning ride was fantastic as always. The great weather and a delicious breakfast were the day’s highlights. We stopped at Adhvika to enjoy Upma, Batata Vada, and misal pao. On the way back, Parag and I decided to visit the neighbourhood market to buy some Mutton. I planned to cook a flavorful Mutton in Brown Sauce with steamed rice and vegetables for a filling lunch, complemented by chilled beers, since the evening would be a relaxed one. I’m really looking forward to the Super 8 match between India and South Africa. With my usual touch, this recipe is simple to prepare and tastes great. Cheers to a perfect Sunday lunch!
Ingredients:
Mutton ( curry cut ) – 500 gm
Onions – 100 gm
Carrot – 150 gm
Cauliflower florets – 100 gm
Zucchini – 100 gm
Mutton Stock – 500 ml
Refined flour – 30 gm
Salt – as per taste
Pepper – as per taste
Fat – 40 gm
Method:
1 ) Wash & clean the meat.
2 ) Heat the fat and fry the meat till brown. Remove and set aside.
3 ) Fry sliced onions. Remove surplus fat.
4 ) Add stock, salt, pepper and mutton and cook on a simmer flame till almost done.
5 ) Add blended flour and cook for 15 to 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
6 ) Check whether the mutton is cooked. Once done, serve with rice and boiled veggies.
P.S: Add veggies of your choice. I use whatever is left over in my fridge.
