Thrilling short ride to Adai Waterfall

We embarked on an inspiring Sunday morning ride to Adai Waterfall in Panvel. The weather was perfect, with a cool breeze and dark, rainy clouds overhead, setting the stage for adventure. The roads shimmered after a gentle rain, and fellow bikers sped by, each on their own journey. Adai Waterfall, located just 21 kilometers from Belapur, is only a 30-minute ride away. We started our journey at 7 a.m. and arrived at the foothills by 7:40 a.m.

The short ten-minute walk to the waterfall revealed breathtaking views that invigorated the spirit. The peak monsoon months of July and August provide the best opportunity to experience this natural wonder. It’s a popular spot for hikers and bikers alike, but the tranquility before 8 a.m. allows for a peaceful connection with nature amidst the vibrant, lush mountains.

Adai Waterfall

We chose the new road through Navi Mumbai International Airport; its smooth surface was a biker’s dream, reminiscent of my thrilling ride from Leh to Kargil. Accompanied by my friends Prashant and Parag, we reached Adai before our bikes could even warm up.

This brief ride is a treasure for anyone who loves long-distance biking, offering instant refreshment and rejuvenation. After soaking in the serenity and marveling at the waterfalls for 45 minutes, we were ready to savor a delicious breakfast, fueling our souls for the day ahead. On the way back, we took the old highway via Kalamboli and stopped at Hotel Kolhapuri Tadka for a sumptuous and visually appealing breakfast of Tarri Maisal and Omelette Pau. That set the stage for the rest of our Sunday.
