A bridge called Love

Atal Setu clicked from Belapur Jetty, Navi Mumbai

A year ago while on a leisurely boat ride on Sunday evening, I saw the majestic Atal Setu during its construction, the bridge as you can see was almost nearing completion and one small patch was remaining. The mighty size and scale of this project instantly sank in and I gave a thumbs-up to the team that executed this project. The sight of the luscious Sun kissing the uncompleted patch of the bridge gave me enough canvas to move my eyes around and compose a few lines.

Let us save the bridge to a struggling relationship
And cultivate intimacy
What was lacking in the past is communication
I admit we didn’t have the patience
What was needed was quality time
We thought it wasn’t worth a dime
We don’t need to apologize
But embrace, embrace forgiveness
Let us put ourselves in each other’s shoes
Be curious and watch our moves
Let us rebuild the broken trust
With a patch of selfless love…
