Oceanic

Renowned Japanese Poet – Ryunosuke Satoro beautifully equates life and the ocean in
the following quote – “Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.
Truly, how deep is the connection of man with the ocean and what joy we get at the
mere sight of the vast blue expanse. A moment that gets etched in one’s memory
forever. Each sight of the ocean makes us equally refreshed in boundless ways. Ocean
has offered us all as a caring mother and we must care for her in return. My poem – “
Oceanic” is a tribute to the rich biodiversity, life source and support to humanity that

Do not try to hold me for I’m scattered
Yet connected to you on the deep
Dive me for the treasured pearl
Or simply drift on uncharted waters
There is light in the abyss and a glow on the ripples
The tear you shed is mine and I’m the cure
Offering you fresh air and mothers love
Ingesting the foul and giving humanity a clean lungful
Abundant life source to withdraw from sensibly
Sail on till infinity, you shall never be stranded
The point where you begin is the point where you end…
