During my recent biking adventure to Uran seaside, I was treated to the magnificent sight of the rose-ringed Parakeets. It was delightful to witness not just a couple, but dozens of these vibrant creatures flitting between the tree hollows, fiercely guarding their territory. Amidst the lively cacophony, a sweet melody stood out as a solitary female Parakeet called out desperately for her partner. She soared from branch to branch, reaching for solace amid the bustling crowd, until finally spotting her mate and settling with him on the treetop. It was truly a heartwarming moment!
It was January
And Palm Trees swaying
All the abode had fun playing
The flock was strong
And huge in numbers
Amongst them
I spotted you
Singing along…
Prose of the ringed rose
The curved beak
Had volumes to speak
The bold eyes
Had a broad vision
Of seeing the flock together
And offspring in dozen
The Cirrus clouds
With a silky sheen appearance
By sunset, they turned red
The Colour of Love
I continued my song
Till sometime after sunset
They turned grey
A pain I couldn’t swallow
In your pursuit
I took one last flight
Towards the horizon
To find you
Nestled in the Tree hollow
