The perfect Sunday Night Dinner – Spaghetti with Meatballs

Sunday dinners are a time for quick meals, perfect for winding down the cooking from the entire week and cosying up with a comforter for some binge-watching. On my way back from my morning bike ride, I decided to buy some minced chicken to prepare a satisfying dinner: spaghetti with meatballs. It’s always a gratifying experience to enjoy a few pints of beer alongside crunchy meatballs and gooey spaghetti.

Ingredients:


Chicken /Mutton – 500 gms
Breadcrumbs – 30 gm
Egg – 1
Olive Oil – 50 ml
Spaghetti – 200 gm
Onions – 250 gm ( grind finely )
Refined flour – 15 gm
Butter- 20 gm
Stock – 20 ml
Salt – to taste
Pepper – to taste

Method:

1 ) Clean the chicken / Mutton and set aside.
2 ) Add salt and pepper and shape into balls. Dip in the egg and the breadcrumbs and fry lightly.
3 ) Boil Spaghetti in Salted water till done.
4 ) Prepare a brown sauce using Onions, butter, stock, peppercorns and flour.
5 ) In a casserole, place Spaghetti and top it up with brown sauce.
6 ) Place the meatballs on top.
7 ) Cover and bake in a moderate oven at 175°C for 20 to 25 minutes. Garnish with grated cheese and serve.
