And speaking of kebabs, who says we have to stick to meat when we have the option of delicious, healthier veggie kebabs that are completely oil-free? Yes, you heard that right – oil-free kebabs! This means no need to worry about extra calories and greasiness. This incredible recipe requires just three main ingredients and is surprisingly easy to cook, producing the most mouthwatering kebabs you’ll want over and over again. Serves 3 to 4 persons.
Ingredients:
Green Peas ( boiled and coarsely grinded ) – 1 ½ cup
Boiled Potatoes – 2 nos
Bread slice – 1
Onions ( chopped ) – 3 tbsp
Green Chillies – 2
Cardamom ( Eliachi ) seeds – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – a pinch
Cumin powder – a pinch
Black pepper powder – a pinch
Salt – to taste
Method :
1 ) Grind the boiled peas to a coarse.
2 ) Chop the onions and green chillies and set aside.
3 ) In a bowl, mash the boiled potatoes and the bread slice.
4 ) Now add all the spices and mix them well.
5 ) Divide the mixture into 8 to 9 equal sizes and make round flat kebabs.
6 ) Place the kebabs on a high rack and keep them inside the microwave oven. Grill for approx 20
mins. Make sure to turn sides after 10 mins.
7 ) When done, serve them hot sprinkled with Chaat Masala and Tomato Ketchup or Mint
Chutney.
N.B: to make the dish visually more appealing, top the kebabs with roasted Cashewnuts
once done.
