Serves – 3
Ingredients:
Chicken ( broiler ) – 500 gms
Tomatoes – 225 gms
Capsicum – 30 gms
Tamarind – 5 gm
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Onions – 325 gm
Ginger – small piece
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Garlic – 4 to 5 flakes
Garam Masala – a pinch
Ghee – 30 gm
Salt – to taste
Boiled Eggs – 2 ( for garnish )
Coriander – for garnish
Method :
1 ) Clean and cut chicken.
2 ) Slice the Tomatoes and capsicum and set aside.
3 ) Grind Ginger and Garlic and set aside.
4 ) Slice the onions finely.
5 ) In a non-stick pan heat ghee and fry onions till light brown.
6 ) Add Chicken, Ginger, Garlic, Turmeric, Salt and Garam Masala and saute for a few minutes.
7 ) Add chopped tomatoes, capsicum and a little water and cook till all the water evaporates.
8 ) Saute till the Chicken browns & tomatoes and onions are well dissolved.
9 ) Add more water and continue to cook till chicken is tender and oil oozes out.
10 ) Add Tamarind juice and sugar and cook on slow flame till the gravy thickens. Serve hot
garnished with Boiled Eggs and Coriander.
