Ingredients :
Boneless Chicken – 500 gms
Onions – 60 gms
Tomato – 1 ( 20 gms )
Mushrooms – 100 gms
Ginger – 1 small pod ( 1 inch )
Garlic – 6 flakes
Butter ( salted ) – 30 gms
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – a pinch
Red Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric – a pinch
Cinnamon powder – a pinch
Oil – 40 ml
Lime juice – 1 tbsp
Green Chilli – 2
Salt – to taste
Instructions :
1 ) Wash, clean and cut the chicken & set aside.
2 ) Slice the mushrooms into halves and set aside.
3 ) Grind Tomato, onions and ginger, garlic to a fine paste.
4 ) Heat butter in a non-stick pan and saute the mushrooms till light brown. Saute the chillies as well. Remove the pan and set aside.
5 ) Once cool, take half the mushrooms and grind them to a puree.
6 ) Heat Oil. Fry the onion paste till nicely browned. Add the mushroom puree and fry further on a slow flame for a few minutes.
7 ) Add the dry spices and chicken along with the remaining butter from the mushroom pan. Add a little water and salt. Cover with a lid and cook on slow fire for 45 minutes or until the chicken is tender. Keep checking in between and stirring occasionally.
