Ingredients:
Basmati Rice – 1 cup
Water – 1 ½ cup
Milk – 1 ½ cup
Sugar – 1 ½ cup
Water – 1 cup
Saffron – ¾ tsp
Ghee – ⅓ cup
Raisins – 3 tbsp
Method :
- Wash the Rice. Drain and soak in 1 ½ cups water and 1 ½ cups milk for 15 mins.
- Mix the sugar with 1 cup of water.
- Soak saffron in 1 tsp of hot milk and crush.
- Place the rice with the soaking water and milk and place it in a microwave-safe bowl
having a capacity of 2 litres. Cook it for approximately 25 minutes. - After 25 mins add the sugar solution, ghee and raisins and cook for another 10 mins.
Add the saffron and mix well. Serve warm garnished with dry fruits of your choice and
raisins.
