Gajar Halwa – for 4 persons
Ingredients:
Carrots – 225 gm
Sugar – 115 gm
Milk – 500 ml
Clarified Butter – 55 gm
Dry fruits / Nuts – 20 gm
Cardamoms – a little
Khowa – 20 gm
Method :
1 ) Wash carrots, scrape and grate.
2 ) Add carrots to milk and cook.
3 ) When milk dries up, add clarified butter and fry.
4 ) Add sugar, khowa, dry fruits and crushed cardamom and serve hot or cold.
Rabri – for 4 to 6 persons
Ingredients :
Milk – 2.5 litre
Sugar – 200 gm
Almonds – 30 gm
Charoli nuts – 30 gm
Cardamom – 5 gm
Jaggery ( powdered ) – 20 gm
Method :
1 ) Boil milk until it gets thick.
2 ) Add sugar and jaggery and simmer for another 10 to 15 minutes.
3 ) Add blanched and sliced almonds, sliced charoli and coarsely powdered cardamom.
4 ) Cool and serve.
