Ingredients :
Okra ( Bhindi ) – 300 gms
Onions – 35 gm
Green chillies – 2
Tomato – 1 ( 15 gm )
Black Peppercorns – a few
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – a pinch
Garam Masala – a pinch
Oil – 20 ml
Vegetable Stock – ½ cup
Salt – to taste
Coriander – for garnish
Butter – 1 tbsp
Method :
1 ) Wash and cut Okra as per choice.
2 ) Grind together Onions & peppercorns and set aside.
3 ) Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped green chillies and tomato and saute a bit.
4 ) Add grind paste and saute on high flame till it browns. Add spices and saute further.
5 ) Add the Okra and salt. Stir in vegetable stock. Cover and cook on slow flame till okra is
cooked.
6 ) Top it up with butter and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with Roti /
Paratha.
