Ingredients :
Potatoes – 200 gm
Capsicum – 25 gm
Onion – 25 gm
Garlic – 2 to 3 flakes
Sesame Oil – 20 ml
Vegetable stock – ½ cup.
For Chilli sauce :
Red Chillies – 15 gms
Garlic – 8 to 10 flakes
Ginger – 1 small pod
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Vinegar – 1 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Method :
1 ) Wash the potatoes and peel them. Parboil the potatoes in hot water for 5 mins.
2 ) Slit the red chillies and remove seeds.
3 ) Peel and chop the ginger and garlic.
4 ) Grind the chillies ginger, garlic, and sugar together and add vinegar. Set aside.
5 ) Dice the Onion and Capsicum.
6 ) Cut the potatoes to pieces and shallow fry them in oil. Drain and remove.
7 ) To the same oil, add chopped garlic flakes, onion, and capsicum and saute a bit. Add the
vegetable stock and bring it to a boil. Now add the potatoes and chilli sauce and saute further for
a few minutes on high flame stirring constantly. Add salt as per taste.
8 ) Make sure the sauce consistency is thick. Check for seasoning. Remove from flame. Garnish
with chopped spring onion leaves and serve hot on a bed of fried rice.
